Porta de Santiago is the most photographed place in Melaka. Every visitor must have its snap! One reason for this may be because this is the oldest remnants of colonial Melaka still intact. Although still intact and preserved, heritage enthusiasts are always curious to find how it looked years ago. The answer to this question is provided by old photographs of Porta de Santiago the entrance to the Portuguese fortress of A’ Famosa. One can also find imaginary sketches of how it looked when it was built but this photograph shows how it looked during late colonial period.
